DED Design (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a freelance graphic design studio operated by David Edmonds, based in Washington, West Sussex, RH20 4AR, United Kingdom. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you visit ded-design.co.uk or get in touch with us.

What data we collect
- Contact form submissions — your name, email address, and any details you choose to share via our enquiry form.
- Email correspondence — if you email us directly, we’ll have your email address and the contents of your message.
- Website usage data — standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected via our hosting provider’s server logs.
How we use your data
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss potential projects
- To deliver and manage any design work you commission from us
- To send invoices and manage payment
- To comply with our legal and accounting obligations
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.

- Contract — if you commission work from us
- Legal obligation — for example, keeping financial records
Who we share it with
- Google — our contact form is hosted via Google Forms; see Google’s Privacy Policy
- Hostinger — our web hosting provider, which processes standard server logs
- Our accountant/bookkeeper, where relevant, for invoicing and tax purposes
We do not share your data with any other third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies
Our website uses only the minimal cookies necessary for the site to function correctly (for example, via our hosting and caching setup). We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics tracking cookies. If this changes in future, this policy will be updated to reflect it.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and client data for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver our services and meet our legal and accounting obligations — typically up to 6 years for financial records, in line with HMRC requirements. Enquiries that don’t turn into a project are deleted or anonymised within 12 months.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Object to, or restrict, our processing of it
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe we’ve mishandled your data
